Invisalign is an orthodontic system that is used to straighten teeth using clear aligners rather than traditional metal brackets and wires.
Invisalign has been developed over the last 20 years and is one of the most well known systems of its type. It can be used to treat a wide range of orthodontic problems from the simple to complex.
Simple treatment can be completed in 6 months, more complex cases may take 12-24 months.
Following an initial consultation the first stage is to have records taken of your teeth.
These are sent to Invisalign and an individual treatment plan is developed for you. This is presented to you as a ClinCheck, which is a digital reproduction of your treatment plan. It also gives lots of other information to help you decide if you are happy with the proposed treatment before you agree to get started.
The aligners are then all made and worn to straighten your teeth.
When your teeth are aligned, retainer are made and much be used to maintain the position of your teeth.
